About

MISSION

We empower individuals to reclaim and share the skills and practices that nurture connection and flourishing, ensuring that care is centered in every community from birth to death. Through education, leadership development, and community building, we foster a culture where care is a shared responsibility and a foundation for our collective thriving.

VISION STATEMENT

A world where care is woven into the fabric of every community, fostering deep connection, resilience, and shared well-being across generations.

FOUDING STORY

Somewhere along the way, we forgot how to care for each other.

Not the kind of care that fixes or treats, but the kind that witnesses, holds space, and walks alongside. The kind that sees a woman’s first bleed as a rite of passage, not a burden. That recognizes postpartum as a sacred transition, not just a recovery. That honors grief as love, not an inconvenience. That embraces death as a part of life, not a failure of medicine.

For Erica and Brie, this understanding wasn’t just an idea. It was lived experience…

  • Erica grew up in a home where end-of-life care was communal. Aging and dying weren’t hidden behind closed doors or hospital curtains, they happened within family, in a multigenerational home. She watched her grandmothers age, one of them die of cancer, and she learned early that true care isn’t just about what we do. It’s about how we show up.

Brie’s path was different but led her to the same truth. As a new mother, she was disquieted by how little support women receive once the baby is born. After months of being monitored and cared for during pregnancy, she found herself on the other side of birth, her body changed in ways she hadn’t imagined, her emotions raw, her spirit still catching up to the enormity of what she had just been through. And yet, the world seemed to move on as if nothing had happened.

When they met through their shared passion for end-of-life midwifery, something clicked. They both saw the same gaps, the same harm caused by a system that treats life’s most profound transitions as medical events rather than human ones. They both knew that care had to be reclaimed from the first to final breath.

So they built something. Not a program, not a business, but a movement. A space where communities can remember what was once instinctive. A place where no one has to grieve alone, give birth in isolation, or die without love. A call to return to what we’ve always known: that care is not a service, it’s a way of being.

This is our story. And if it speaks to you, it’s yours too.

Values

  • Care is not an individual burden; it is a shared responsibility that is fundamental to being humans and living a purposeful, meaningful life. There is joy in caring and bearing witness to each other's suffering. We believe in fostering strong, connected communities where no one has to navigate illness, dying, or grief alone.

  • We approach this work with open hearts, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge norms, seeking creative and authentic solutions that strengthen our collective flourishing.

  • Every person, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves care that honors their humanity.

  • We embrace diversity as a source of wisdom and strive to create spaces where all voices are heard and valued.

  • The way we care matters. We bring love, humility, and honesty to everything we do, ensuring that our work is grounded in both compassion and quality.
